Angle
This design was created as a possible design for an older version of my portfolio. The design was meant to edgy and stylish with a darker color scheme. I had originally intended for the punched-out portions of the header and navigation to cycle through colors. Part way through creating the layout, I abandoned the layout as a possible candidate for my portfolio because it was too dark and wasn't the look I was going for. I instead gave it a dark purple color scheme, while lighting up the punch-outs in an attempted to make it easier on the eyes.

This was the previous layout for my portfolio. I thought that the tan and gray/silver colors went well together and helped to create a smooth feeling to the site. The layout was purposely kept simple in order to not pull visitors away from the content of the site. This site was my first time working with PHP as well, allowing me to dynamically load content onto pages with minimal effort while giving everything a uniform look. Unfortunately, due to a server side error the MySQL database that populated the content of the site was lost taking the functionality of the site with it.
Paramodal: Move Yourself
The final project for my introductory web design class. Paramodal is a fictional company that sells transportation, as part of the project students were allowed to chose any type of transportation and create a website based around marketing three items from the fictional company's catalogue. The type of transportation that I chose was futuristic transportation, this included jetpack, a spacecraft, and a gravity lift. A Flash component was also needed for the site so I created an item selector on the home page that would allow customers to skip right to their preferred product.
The Truth and Reconciliation Blog
This was a blog layout that I created for a friend. This site featured a very simple design in the fact that the navigation consist on only 2 links: Home and Contact in order to make the site as strait forward zx possible. This layout was used for over a year until it was decided that the owner wanted a new design and is no longer used.
ZeroJB
My personal on again off again blog. This site uses the content management system Drupal with a custom theme created by me. Since this is a blog I did not want to throw a ton of visual information at the reader so I kept the color pallet for the blog neutral so that any content, such as video or images that I placed on the pages would be what grabbed the reader's attention. I created a moving Flash header for the site because I felt the site to be too static; I wanted to give the site some type of movement.
